To provide a training and work placement, giving experience and opportunities for young people aged 14+ with severe learning disabilities (SLD). This will help us to bridge the gap between education and supported internships/employment.
-
Students to gain experience of working for a real business, not a pretend one.
-
To provide social engagement and integration between young people with special educational needs (SEN) and their local community.
-
To raise awareness of SEN and to showcase the students skills and the contribution they can make to society.
-
To use local suppliers as much as possible to create a partnership with the local community.
-
To give young people with SLD the chance to succeed, increase independence, decrease social isolation, and contribute to good overall mental health.
